Nafisah Scott is a philanthropy and public policy professional focused on advancing equitable educational and economic opportunities. Her work sits at the intersection of philanthropy, policy, and economic and workforce development, with a particular interest in creating pathways that expand opportunity and strengthen outcomes for young people.
Nafisah has worked with the Strada Education Foundation, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and the Greater Washington Community Foundation. She currently serves on the Greater Washington Community Foundation’s Prince George’s County Advisory Board and holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Fun Fact: Nafisah was a proud Ed Fund intern in 2024 and is excited to return to the organization in a new capacity. Outside of work, she is collaborating on soon-to-be-published research examining the impact of debate as an extracurricular activity for minoritized youth and its influence on their social and economic trajectories in DC. She is also a lover of all things music, especially indie pop and R&B; a proud older sister; a dedicated binge-watcher of her favorite comfort shows such as scandal. She also enjoys listening to podcasts on topics ranging from personal growth to financial literacy.
