Emerald Adeyemi brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across philanthropy, education, fundraising, and organizational strategy. Throughout her career, she has helped mission-driven organizations strengthen operations, build cross-sector partnerships, and translate bold ideas into transformational impact.
Prior to joining DC Public Education Fund, she held leadership roles at the National Center for Family Philanthropy, Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, Communities in Schools of the Nation’s Capital, and CityBridge Foundation.
Through her work at Leadership Greater Washington and Higher Achievement, Emerald has collaborated closely with business, government, and nonprofit executives to advance community impact through strategic philanthropic investments.
She is a proud graduate of Howard University and brings a passion for building systems and philanthropic partnerships that help students and communities thrive.
