Emerald Adeyemi is Managing Director at the DC Public Education Fund, where she helps advance organizational strategy, strengthen operations, and build partnerships that support DC Public Schools and its students.
Emerald brings nearly 15 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, and nonprofit leadership, with particular expertise in education, family philanthropy, organizational strategy, and revenue growth. Prior to joining the Education Fund, she served as Senior Director of Growth & Engagement at the National Center for Family Philanthropy, where she oversaw more than $7 million in annual revenue and led strategies spanning fundraising, partnerships, donor engagement, and organizational growth. Her career has also included leadership and advancement roles with organizations including Leadership Greater Washington, Communities In Schools, and CityBridge Education.
With earned accreditations as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP), and Impact Philanthropy Advisor (IPA), Emerald is passionate about helping mission-driven leaders align strategy, resources, and relationships to achieve meaningful impact. A graduate of Howard University, she has deep roots in Washington, DC, including several years as a professional NFL cheerleader with the Washington Football Team. She remains actively engaged in civic and nonprofit leadership across the Washington metropolitan region.
